It’s hard to believe it’s December! With everything this year has thrown at us, my final blog post of 2020 is focused on uplifting, holiday style. Naturally, I envision sequins, glitter and sparkles when I think of holiday outfits. However, in case sparkle isn’t “you,” the outfits I’ve created here are balanced with comfort in mind. After all, a little bit of sparkle goes a long way, and comfort is at the top of everyone’s list when it comes to 2020 style!
Outfit #1 – All Dressed Up

I’m calling this the “2020 tuxedo.” The blazer is the Parke Blazer by J.Crew I recommended in my previous blog post. It comes in a variety of colors, although the black is chic and would be great with jeans and a white blouse. The low heel suede pumps are by Ann Taylor. The pants are by Spanx. I bought the Spanx perfect black pant this year and love them. The sparkle tuxedo stripe is a nice touch. Try them with a simple sweater to dress them down. Lastly, the tank is from Macy’s. The black sequin tank top in my closet is so old, the retailer is no longer in business! If you like a halter style, try this one.
Outfit #2 – Dressed Up & Down

I call this outfit “holiday style at home.” I’ve been living in my joggers! How about a sequin pair for the holidays? Two other styles I’m liking are the Elements sequin jogger by Eloquii and the Commando sequin legging. Keep the look low-key with a simple black turtleneck by Ann Taylor. There’s another one by Land’s End that comes in a variety of colors. Lastly, a simple sparkle tennis shoe by Adidas for your errands because why not?
Outfit #3 – Sultry Holiday

If you don’t already have a black pencil skirt, this one by Spanx would be a great addition as a wardrobe staple. Spanx also makes a faux leather version. I also like these two belted styles, one by Club Monaco and one by Blank NYC available at Nordstrom. All that’s needed to take a black pencil skirt into holiday territory is a pretty blouse and heels. Sparkles aren’t required, but of course this outfit includes them. This long-sleeved sequin blouse is by H&M. It’s perfectly slouchy with casual trousers, but tuck it into the skirt. This cropped silver sequin blouse is standout, and I’ve had a mad crush for years on these Kate Spade glitter pumps.
Outfit #4 – House Party

I recommended these two pieces in previous blog posts, and they’re perfect to mention again. This cropped sparkle cardi by Ann Taylor would be adorable with a simple faux leather jogger. Finish the outfit with either a fun, comfy sneaker or bring it up a notch with a glitter block heel sandal that’s nearly a dead ringer for mine (except mine is gold).
The Finishing Touches

To me, an outfit is not complete without accessories, especially at the holidays! Starting at the top left, these champagne bottle earrings caught my eye several weeks ago, and I can’t stop thinking about them! I love this elegant cuff bracelet by Kate Spade. On the second row, the Swarovski hoops are great for holiday or any time of year. The dangle tassel earrings are festive, and the studs set in rose gold add just enough sparkle. Lastly, the Swarovski slake wrap bracelet has long been a favorite of mine. It makes a great gift for special friends.
