Full access to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale started today! If you’d like to nab deals on fall/winter things, this is your sale. My favorite things from the sale are intimates, jeans, jackets and boots. My top picks within those categories are below. Please do not delay if you see something you like. Inventory is very low, and it will sell out quickly. Happy Shopping!
Natori is my favorite brand in this category. These bras and undies do not go on sale except during the Anniversary Sale. If you like these as well as I do, get them now!
This is Natori’s Feathers Underwire Contour Bra. It comes in a variety of colors. You might have to size up because of the cut.
This is Natori’s Bliss Perfection Underwire Contour Bra. There are various color options on this bra, too.
I’ve tried various styles of underwear over the years, and I continue to return to these Bliss all-cotton briefs by Natori. Many color choices here, too. Typically, I stick to the beige and black, but you may have to venture into the colors as inventory is running low.
I love this cardigan by Barefoot Dreams. It’s super soft and cozy. If your “at home” attire needs TLC, you might enjoy adding this piece as a starting point.
I know it’s not exciting to get basic t-shirts at a sale, but these are reliable and such a good price during the anniversary sale.
This is the Zella Liana Long Sleeve Recycled Blend Performance T-Shirt. It is made with recycled material, and it is moisture wicking. Who doesn’t need that in Dallas?! The other t-shirt I like from the sale is by Caslon. It is short sleeved with a slightly rounded v-neck. Find it here.
Vince Camuto always makes a good v-neck sleeveless blouse. This animal print top is great for fall under a jacket or worn alone while it remains hot with black jeans as shown.
Good silk blouses are not easy to come by lately, especially for a good price. This is the Nordstrom brand Relaxed Stretch Silk Shirt. I am partial to the bone color and the light pink. Take note that this is a relaxed style, so it will need tucking to give it shape.
This sale is a great time to pick up denim brands that do not often go on sale.
These are Le Sylvie Crop Raw Edge Jeans by Frame. They are a good straight cut with just a little bit of fray at the bottom. These fit short on the model, but the inseam is 27″, which would hit lower near the ankle on me.
These are the Skyline Ankle Cigarette Jeans by Paige. Cigarette means straight yet slim, kind of a cross-breed between a straight jean and a skinny. The color is lovely, great for work or play. No distressing. Sadly, this one is selling fast, and only a few small sizes remain. Here’s another pair by Paige that’s called the Hoxton (a favorite).
As I’ve said many times, at the beginning of the fall season, look at your jackets and your shoes. Update in those two categories first, if needed.
This is the Zella Studio Lite Ribbed Detail Track Jacket. It could work for casual kicking around when not working out. I like the slim fit and the thumb hole. It comes in three colors.
This is the Caslon Drape Collar Knit Blazer. It came in a few colors, but the camouflage is all that remains. It’s a good short cut and perfect for WFH or weekend.
If you’d like to try a leather jacket this fall, this one is a great entry price point. It has a removable hoodie, which adds a different touch. This is the Blanc NYC Faux Leather Bomber Jacket. It comes in black and “grape.”
I cannot justify another coat, but I sure love this red and charcoal plaid jacket (it comes in blue, also). This is the Sam Edelman Plaid Teddy Coat.
Last, but not least, I love this trench coat that comes in traditional tan and this forest green. This is the Sam Edelman Water Repellent Belted Trench Coat with Removable Hood.
There are knee-high and over-the-knee boots in the sale, but I’ve linked ankle boots since we are still mostly casual. These styles would get the most wears during the season.
I bought a similar pair to these Timberland a few winters ago to try out the style. I’ve loved it, and I think it’s time to invest in a better quality pair. These are the Kinsley 6-Inch Waterproof Boot. They come in two colors, and I’m torn between them. Which color do you prefer?
I’ve sung the praises of Tory Burch boots. Mine have lasted for years. This is the Chelsea 50mm Lug Bootie. It comes in black, too. The lug sole boot isn’t going anywhere, so don’t worry about investing in this pair.
Here is a dressy ankle boot that works just as well as tall (knee-high) boots. This is the LTD Jojo Pointed Toe Bootie by Marc Fisher. It comes in four colors, and I am partial to the black and the cream. However, if the blue suede pair is calling to you, go for it!
As I was browsing. I did find two dresses you might consider. One would be great for summer (right now). It is the Sweaty Betty Take It Easy Drop Waist Dress in a fun pink color. The black has sold out. The other dress would be nice for work or play. It is the Zella Live In Cutout Rib Tank Dress. It has a cutout in the back, so it would be best with a jacket if wearing it for work.
