Today is my birthday. I’m telling you this not to dig a birthday wish out of you but rather to share my plans for the day with the hope you will treat yourself to a day of leisure, as well. I won’t bore you with every detail of my day, but suffice to say it involves lunch, spa and dinner. In other words, little work and lots of play!
So, what’s the point of this post and how is it relevant to your style?
People with great style accept themselves ‘as is.’ As a result of this healthy attitude, they are apt to take better care of themselves. This, in turn, helps them look better and feel better. It is a circle that continually feeds itself: acceptance, care, beauty, health.
In my quest to help you find your signature style, it would be remiss of me not to make a strong point of you taking great care of yourself. Taking time out just for you in passionate pursuits or even just brief moments of solitude have a strong impact on your happiness, your image and your style.
Don’t get lost in the shuffle and forget who you are and what you need. Stay focused and grounded, never losing sight of yourself. Your kids, your partner, your loved ones and your friends will be thankful to have a positive presence in their lives – YOU! Don’t forget you. You are too important.
